Welcome

This issue is dedicated to the people of Xaouen, Rif, Morocco.

Dear Poets and Readers,
Our April edition  introduced
Richard Vallance's masterpiece Sappho's Odes. These Odes have been entirely reconstructed through the poet's
imagination from the existing fragments in their original Greek form.
As the work is quite extensive (six Odes), their full publication is done serially and concludes in this issue with
Odes IV through V.

§   We are sorry to say farewell to our contributor Mike Burch, author of The HyperTexts, who will always be welcome back. Yet, pleased to introduce, as
a new Resident Poet, our old friend, worldwide web famous, the one&only Jim Dunlap. We look forward to his regular contributions, together with Canadian Helga Ross and Sara Russell with her Norris Cartoons.

§   Featured poets this month include --in random order:
Andres Fisher, Ian Thorpe, Richard Vallance, Amparo Arrospide and Leland Jamieson. Thanks to us all.

stolen words from the mouth of my 5 year old son....

We can never outrun the wind papa. If I eat the sun,the clouds, the moon the stars And drink the oceans will I be a forever day? What is the color of water papa? When it rains is God having a shower or is he crying Why does a dog talk with its tail How many sleeps do I have to have before I ten How long is the sky What is an adult and how do I know me Why when its dark do we close our eyes Where do words come from when we talk How are you my mum and dad.......... * jeff geddes
